Climb every mountain,
Ford every stream,
Follow every rainbow,
Till you find your dream -
Looks the same as it did in 1976 when I was there in July. Stayed at a military vacation spot and the rooms were $4.00 a night back then. I was stationed in Augsburg.

I wish i could live here

Great video. I did this trip last year after spending time in Munchen for Oktoberfest. Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a lovely place to stay. While you're there it's well worth taking trips to the top of Wank and the Alpspitz too.

It was one of the most exciting trips I have taken, considering my fear of hight.

thanks for the video, will be in garmisch next month! Also if you want another fantastic cable ride you should try the ride from stechelberg up to the schilthorn in the berenese oberland in switzerland..breathtaking.

Hi We could choose which way we wanted back - no extra cost. My wife does not like tunnels, but loves the view from the Eibsee Seilbahn. For those who not like to take the Eibsee Seilbahn, this video gives them a safe ride up and down. An unforgettable ride! Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the video. From the Zugsptize.de site (the same as your +++ cut and pasted info) the indication is that you get the cog railway from Garmisch/Grainau/Eibsee to the Schneeferner Glacier, then Glacier Car to the summit, then down the Eibsee Seilbahn, then railway back. I can't find mention of getting the Eibsee Seilbahn up and down return, like you did in the video though. How much was it? Was it an alternative included in Zugspitze Rundfahrt ticket or something else? Cheers!
