Zillertal Air - minimalist resonator guitar music and photos of the Alps
Mountain | reviews | videos | photos
A recent trip to the Austrian Alps, Zillertal, inspired a minimalist piece on my Gretsch resonator in Open D accompanied by photos and videos of mountains and waterfalls. I came close to getting it as monotonous as Philip Glass, but didn't quite get there, because I used too many notes and introduced the hint of a tune at the end. Nevertheless, it will probably send you to sleep. Nearly nodded off myself. Very restful.

By the way Phil - I don't know if I've mentioned to you before about Steve McWilliam's great website. He has a wealth of tabs of his own stuff and tabs from other players. This is another fantastic original tune and I am sure that Steve would love to get it up on his site. Just a thought, but Steve's a fantastic guy, and he's been incredibly supportive to me & my music. It would be great to see some of your tunes up there. Anyway - here's the site http://www.stevemcwilliam.co.uk/guitar/index.htm
