They don't turn on all the turbines all at once. I don't know what the critera are for how many they do turn on at once. We have a lot of windmills up on hills in the Livermore valley, and there is a spot in S. Calif with even more turbines! I really enjoyed seeing more of Switzerland. It's so beautiful there.
So, Switzerland is suddenly looking a bit like Iowa. We have a lot of wind farms here. Not in the area I live, but further up north and to the west.
We have some out here too. It would be good if they work. Be they cost an arm & a leg. Sure is pretty out there Hello Mrs DC =) Oh the Alp view is beautiful. Oh you are so sweet saying that bout Mrs DC. One of the many things I love bout you BIG HUGS for you XOXOXOX

@DogWalkingTall I guess that if you can reconcile the experiment with all the other considerations it is a very good thing ! Funny what you said about Sutton, you know that it was my home town up till my teen age years. The Jura region in Switzerland is dear to me since, as you said, it is very similar to the eastern townships in Quebec, take care !
The way people protest the wind farms around here I figured there would be a lot more noise. Nice view again.
