WTF how many jackets ?!
-
Did he just put on five and a half layers for summertime in the alps? o.O
-
what if i wear glasses?
-
I think you need one more jacket
-
Such a system works equally well for the US Rocky Mountains and most of the Cascades.
-
Wow, are you serious with that many layers on top of each other?
-
What kind of boots are these
-
Given improved materials since this has been made, you can reduce the number of layers. Summer: 1. A moisture wicking baselayer 2. A hybrid primaloft (60g) midlayer (stretchy, breathable sides) 3. A solid hardshell (read: not gore-tex paclite) if the weather turns crappy. 4. A down jacket that will fit under the hardshell (so it doesn't get wet) You don't need the heavy softshell since you'll use #2 most of the time. If you get hot, you can unzip it and be fine.
