@Laurel Glad you found it useful - unfortunately some of those mountain huts are pretty basic and don't think any of them provided towels.

@david Thanks for your comment - my video was aimed at giving those who are perhaps not as experienced as you a feel for the gear that you need, so that you don't bring obviously inappropriate clothing like jeans and then end up having to carry things you don't use.

totally pointless video. watch a weather forecast and bring gear for expected conditions. You might want fleece jacket, hat gloves. If it rains, then rain gear is important. She just said waterproofs.. what does she bring rubber? you need waterproof and breathable!

A mobile phone is also very useful and I'm sure you had one with you. If you are unlucky enough to injure yourself then dial 112 and the emergency services will rescue you. Make sure you have the right insurance though as a helicopter rescue can cost 20,000 euros, just to get you to the hospital at Sallanches.
