http://www.epictv.com For all your latest climbing gear head to: http://shop.epictv.com While the rest of the alpine world has spent this Summer complaining about terrible conditions in the Alps, Ueli Steck has been busily dispatching the full 82 4,000 metre peaks in the range entirely under his own power. Then again, what would you expect from the Swiss Machine? We caught up with Ueli shortly after the completion of this mammoth task which took him just 62 days in all. Check out the video to find out how Ueli dealt with the physical strain of all that climbing, what he's psyched for now and how it all almost went wrong in the final 24 hours. Patrick Berhault died in 2004 trying to achieve this same project (all 82 Alps 4000m summits in 82 days).

While I am always eager to hear an interview with Ueli, the title of this video is very misleading and the uploader should come up with something else to interest viewers instead of gathering page views with a silly event made to sound big.
The 'Almost went wrong' scenario that he experienced is less of an issue then if he woke up that morning with diarrhea which none of us would care to hear about either.
During an approach on an established trail in a valley, Ueli takes a wrong turn at a Y. The consequence is a few hours of wasted time having to backtrack on an overall easy route with no real pressures such as a timed speed ascent/upset partner etc. This slight error has no relation to the type of story or incident one would expect to hear as the title may be inferring.
If the material is interesting enough it will speak for itself, thanks for the upload none the less. -
Did you guys coordinate your outfits for this interview? ; )
