Travel Germany - the Alps, Colorful Oberammergau

The majestic German Alps provide a backdrop for a mountain drive past the Zugspitze, the highest peak of the Wetterstein Mountains as well as the highest mountain in Germany. We continue to the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen near the border between Germany and Austria. We arrive at Oberammergau, a small town famous for it's Passion Play, and for its "Lüftlmalerei," or frescoes, of traditional Bavarian themes, fairy tales, religious scenes or architectural trompe-l'œil found on many homes and buildings.
