The Alps - Austria, Driving over snow covered Peak

Here we filmed driving over Austria's Highest Peak known as Grossglockner on 30th April 2012 taking in the beautiful scenery the alps had to offer just after the road opened after the long winter. We set out from Salzburg heading for Venice and took the Grossglockner Mountain Pass route going from 30 degrees heat in Salzburg to freezing tempertures over the peak. On this video you will see the depth of snow built up after the winter, and where an avalanche occured close to the road.

The car has led tail lights, which actually do flicker faster than the human eye can see, cameras with low frames per second make them appear to be pulsating or blinking.
