Mountain | reviews | videos | photos
The Stelvio Pass, located in Italy, at 2757 m (9045 feet) is the highest paved mountain pass in the Eastern Alps, and the second highest in the Alps. This video is of a Ferrari California running down the western side of the Stelvio Pass with its 12 hairpin turns in September 2012. It had recently snowed on the higher peaks making a stunning background. The Stelvio Pass was picked by the British automotive show Top Gear as its choice for the "greatest driving road in the world".

Part two is better that Part one... This video is just superb.. The sounds of the Ferrari with that beautiful Alp backdrop. This is how these cars should be driven.
-
Part 1 and Part 2: brilliant videos - watched them during wet weather in the Lake District. Thank you and your wife for the trip.
-
I love the sound and scenery. Thanks mate.

those dual clutch transmissions are so durable and reliable. After watching both parts and seeing how many times you had to down shift to first and what not and just all the stress on those low gears just shows how good they have made there dual clutch transmissions.

I was staying in Switzerland and, after some research, drove the pass from Stelvio (east side) back to Bormio (west side). Type Stelvio pass into Google Maps to view. The best time to drive the pass quickly is as early in the morning as possible, before the tourists turn up.

My wife wanted to take some pictures of the scenery.

RHD in Europe is not too bad. The Mrs doesn't like heights and was terrified and that's why she gave me a bit of a hard time :)

RHD in Italy in hairpins woulda sucked, yr Mrs is a bit of a ballbreaker tho hahaha... i had the same experience with my girl, wish i had a Ferrari when i did it, u need to rev it harder and work those tires in the corners next time!
