this song remind me noboby care for me or about me makes me sad and hurt me breaks my heart
-
Marjorie Mckay sang that song !
-
Just a minor quibble: despite the beauty of the song, it's highly unlikely such a tune would be sung in a cloistered convent. Any music in such a venue would be explicitly religious in nature and taken from the canon of music in the Roman Catholic Church.

Maria: Mother, what shall I do?
Mother: Climb every mountain.
10 years later Maria returns to the abbey.....
Mother: Maria you've been gone for 10 years! What happened?
Maria: I climbed every mountain. Everest was a pain in the arse. Now what? -
This sucks!!!

I was Mother Superior in a play once and I sang this song! It was so hard to hit that last note hahaha!!! XD

This is the best version because this song needs modesty. Not opulence and pomposity.
