Running the Tour du Mont Blanc (2016)
Mountain | reviews | videos | photos
Over 5 days (June 28 - July 2 2016), Weez and I ran-hiked the iconic Tour du Mont Blanc. 105 miles // 30,000 ft of elevation gain. We carried all of our gear in 20L backpacks weighing about 12-15lbs, stayed in refuges each night, and had the time of our lives. If you're interested in the logistics: - Night 1: Refuge Mottets - Night 2: Refugio Bertone (amazing hut) - Night 3: Gite Bon Abri - Night 4: Refuge de la Flegere

Hi, Thanks for the video. Next year I am thinking of doing the tour with my 13 year old son. We wanted to try to do it 4 or 5 days. How many hours a day were you on the trail and how much was jogging versus walking? Were the two of just generally fit or fit enough to run a trail marathon when you started? Thank you! Patrick
