Impromptu yodeling by Swiss native Amadé Perrig. Spent a day hiking with the man in the mountains near his hometown of Zermatt and learned that 1) yodeling is a born skill, not taught, and that 2) real yodeling is a dying art. I was glad to encounter the real thing in such a beautiful part of the Alps.

Does it hurt your throat to do that? Yodeling is one of the first things I think of when I think of Switzerland. The most recent time I thought of Switzerland, it was at the Scrabble server and there was a tournament with Swiss pairings. Also I heard something about swiss cheese related to how to accomplish achievements. For example to learn how to yodel make some subgoals like a) read about how to yodel b) look for a yodeling teacher c) look on youtube d) start to practice. Having gotten to step d) then the achivement: Yodeling will have holes in it like Swiss cheese.

yodeling was used to clear peaks of really heavy snowdrifts where in america we just blow them up with tnt but in alps a team of guys normally just yodels at them...
