***Transcription*** Today I'm going to show you how to make a model hill for your train layout. Take a page of newspaper and wet it thoroughly. and then squezze it until the excess water is out, uncrumple it and place it in the shape of a hill or mountain where you want it to go. Take some tissue paper and lay it over the newspaper. Start to cover the tissue paper with plaster of paris. Repeat and let Dry. How to make a model mountain out of readily available items. Supplies : Plaster of Paris , Newspaper , Water , Brush , Kleenex / tissue paper , Water sprayer (optional but preferable). Instructions: 1.Wet the newspaper and rinse it out 2.Place in favorable destination as hill or mountain 3.Take the tissue paper and lay it over the news paper 4. Cover the tissue paper with the " soupy" plaster of Paris 5. Repeat multiple times until you are pleased with the look. ***TIP*** spray the mountain with water lightly until it dries to prevent cracking

can you use PVA glue instead of plaster paris

Use expanding foam from hardware store and siple grout instead of plaster and newspaper. It is easier, faster and more modern way to achieve the same result with commonly known materials in next store (no hobby store in town? - no problem).

Try to add a small layer of mist when it starts to dry
