Chapter Question: What are your thoughts on this adventure? Written By: smxwing The Straw Hats were able to escape The Shoujou Pirates with some damage done to their ship. As the crew tries to repair the damages, Zoro suggests they just get a new ship. Usopp angrily protests the idea but Luffy reassures him that The Merry Go is a member of their crew. They finally arrive at their destination on the eastern coast of Jaya where they are astonished to find a castle right at the edge of the island. They quickly find out however that the castle is made of plywood and hides the real house behind it, which seems to be half a hut. After discovering that no one is home, Nami finds a book left outside entitled 'Noland the Liar'. Sanji then explains that the story of 'Noland the Liar' is a famous legend where he grew up, The North Blue. The tale takes place 400 years ago in the North Sea. There, an explorer named Mont Blanc Noland would tell tales of his amazing adventures to the town's people. Nobody would ever believe him. After one of his 'adventures', Noland told the king of a mountain of gold he had discovered. The King believing him took some 2000 solders to see for himself. By the time they arrived, only Noland, The King and 100 soldiers remained only to find there was no gold whatsoever. Noland is then sentenced to death for lying. His last words before being executed were that the island with the mountain of gold must have sunk into the sea. Mont Blanc Noland stuck to his lies to the very end. We then cut to the bar in Mock Town where the Bellamy Pirates, having remembered the tales of Noland as kids reason that Mont Blanc Cricket must be his descendant. They believe Cricket is searching for gold to erase 400 years humiliation his family has suffered. Back at Crickets house, Nami has finished reading the tale of Noland. Luffy, who is sitting by the coastline, gets pulled into the sea. The man responsible is none other than Mont Blanc Cricket, boss of The Monkey Mountain Allied Forces. Fearing he is being robbed, he prepares to fight. Sanji, who tells Usopp to save Luffy from drowning, trades blows with Cricket. He tries to shoot Sanji but misses. Zoro is ready to intervene before Cricket falls to the floor in pain for no apparent reason. Chopper says that Cricket is suffering from a lung condition that often affects deep sea divers. As he continues his diagnosis in the house, we focus in on a picture of Cricket with a few familiar faces, Masira and Shoujou the salvage captains.
