Nearly Wild Camping location reviewing a Yellowstone Alpine 2 tent
Mountain | reviews | videos | photos
My second outing to a NWC location. This time testing out a Yellowstone Alpine 2 tent and eating some pigeon breast. Having looked back at the footage I can see that not getting out on the hills over the last nine months and drinking too much red wine has taken it's toll. Time to get more active.... http://www.nearlywildcamping.org

i like the look of that one...yellowstone stuff goes by several names or vice versa i got the flameless cooker and have seen the exact same thing called other names.. so a bit of badge engineering going on, but got no complaints with the quality for the price i usually use my usmc tent but its heavy and does take a little while to set up, i like the simplicity of the yellowstone. plus the shape is great in high winds, just point the foot of the wedge into the wind or the head depending on the zip storm flaps as the should point away from wind if you see what i mean....anyway enuff rambling on haha nice one..cheers for the heads up

Hi Mate, I bought the same tent about a year ago, I liked it's price, length, width and it's a great size for a one man and kit, I also liked the mesh inner, which will cut out nearly all condensation. Just like yourself though I was very disappointed by the the foot end of the tent and just like you I was thinking of doing some customisation by using two fibre glass poles either side. In the end I sold it and I can across this tent and bought it. It took me about, 18 months - 2 years to find my perfect tent but once I bought this my search was over. https://youtu.be/3A8OERtuBxs ATB Reeco
