Support me on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Lindybeige A mystery that lasted for many years with me - what is the purpose of those strange things on the end of some, but far from all, gun barrels? It turns out that they are called muzzle brakes, and that I can ramble for rather a long time about them, if I let myself get sidelined enough. Kit tanks by Airfix, Matchbox, Fujimi, and Esci. Churchill the best tank, lol?
-
And for the dumb people saying "how could a military official not know what a muzzle break is" ask your doctor the next time you see him if he knows everything about his profession and he'll tell you know, because nobody knows everything about their profession, were all learning or should be.
-
For those of you criticizing his "rambling" its called a love for knowledge and the sharing of knowledge which takes talking, so youve given yourself away as a lazy person for calling him a rambler.
-
Great video, btw, I like your model tanks, where did you get them??
I play World of Tanks online and I want to make video tutorials on tank tactics. -
When in doubt, always make a video about ANYTHING, there is ALWAYS someone needing the info.
-
You are one tedious annoying jerk!
-
Video starts at 5:50
-
to save you from all that useless rambling from this dude is that , the muzzle break is to help with the recoil of the shot made by the barrel and projectile.
-
I knew about the smoke management, but didn't know about the recoil. Thank you for teaching me this.
-
The muzzle break was designed simply to destroy the shooters and surrounding friendlies eardrums.
-
That cleared up why standing in the vicinity of a US Paladin, in Germany hurt so much... When you see what it looks like from the firing end, you don't want to be on the receiving end!
-
Great, now do one about the bulge in the middle of the barrel like the 120mm gun on the M1.
-
I knew it was a muzzle break, never knew what it did. thanks a bunch!
-
comb ftw?
-
How does anyone in the military not know what a muzzle brake is, let alone a tank commander.
-
Not sure why your video showed up in my feed. Not subbed, and I have never watched any of your videos... that being said I am now subbed and enjoy your videos. Very insightful video.
-
I laughed the entire video, due to his constantly referring to a muzzle break as a barrel brake then correcting himself. would have been just as good, if he had just simply used the improper terminology, then corrected himself at the end.
-
i mostly handle firearms but everything you said applies just the same. awesome video.
-
JUST TELL US WHAT ITS FOR!
