This is a close up of Montes and Vallis Alpes on Moon's northern hemisphere. The video was taken from my backyard with a Meade LX200 10' scope a Toucam 840 pro II webcam and a Meade Barlow X2 lens. Montes Alpes is named after the Alps mountains on Earth and it's peak is - guess what - Mont Blanc with 3,5 km of attitude from the lunar surface. Vallis Alpes is a volcanic lava river 160 km long and 10 km at it's widest. The image is simmering hard due to the combination of atmospheric turbulence and the big magnification.
