BEWARE MONTBLANC SERVICE IS THE WORST. READ BELOW!
I bought a Timewalker directly from Montblanc 5 years ago. Overall the watch has been wonderful and I've enjoyed it, both aestetically and functionally, the watch has been great.
While few people will buy a watch and think about maintaining it for a lifetime and ultimately when you spend this much money, you'd hope that it could be maintained to last for many many years.
I have had numerous interactions with montblanc services, each time finding that the experience was painful. It literally took them 2.5 months to swap out the scratched crystal once. My most recent interaction was so horrible, that I've taken to leaving reviews online to share with the world how bad MB service is.
I dropped the watch from 2.5 ft high, onto a wood floor. The watch experienced a bit of minor trauma in the movement and the minute hand wasn't behaving properly. Accidents happen - my fault entirely. I brought it into my local luxury watch shop (Tourneau, Boston MA) and asked them to service it (trying to avoid sending it to MB!). They said that they had to send it to MB and were not allowed to service it themselves. In the end, MB told me that the price to fix the watch would be $2200. I was furious because 5 years ago I paid $1850 for the watch, new. A letter that I sent to Montblanc customer service was NEVER returned or acknowledged. Finally, when the watch shop got word of my predicament, their watch maker decided to investigate it themselves, and see if they could service the watch. In the end, they fixed it FOR FREE after doing a simple tweek!. This just demonstrates that MB not only has poor service quality, but they also try to profit massively on the backs of their trusting customers.
I'm not one to take to the online forums to share these sorts of stories. I'm a calm and rational person, not some internet lunatic. But MB was so messed up in how they tried to screw me that I have no choice. My advice is to stay away from Montblanc. Beautiful product, but if you want to own it for any reasonable amount of time - this product is not for you.
luxury brands should have luxury service! Montblanc fails miserably here! -

I got this watch as a graduation present back in '07. It is an AMAZING watch.

Whatsup with that jewish symbol star or is it just a coincidence..

I have one with the leather band. Absolutely beautiful. Not too fond of their metal bracelet though.
