I have one. Thanks for the education.

I was just thinking the other day that I should send Dr. Brown a Slim Line.... One of my favorite daily writers, probably the smoothest steel nib I have, even better than the Faber-Castell steel nibs. There isn't that much info about them online; I've bought a couple now and there's one thing to watch out for if you're planning on using a converter - the 2nd generation Slim Line like the one in the video with the small Montblanc "star" on the clip will fit a standard international converter (I use Faber-Castell converters in mine). The 1st gen Slim lines with a plain clip seem to have a little less room inside the barrel and I've had no luck finding a converter that will fit without the knob getting jammed inside the barrel.

nice video like always

i think it might be gold over steal reacts like a steel nib but hat the flow of a real fine solid gold nib so um wether its plated gold filled or gold diped there is still that steel nib wrighting -_- hmmm ??? The is a very intersting pleasent pen o_o wow my gosh it so jewld like too :-)

Since the white star is the most expensive, valued and appreciated part of any Montblanc pen, three white stars for under £100 sounds like a great bargain.
-
I have a pen and the nib says FA. What does that mean?

Writing sample 6:16

Actually Stephen you are correct when you refer to it as the "star." Here it is written on vintage Montblanc packaging: https://db.tt/ko9scOuG "Nur echt mit der stern-schutzmarke auf dem kappenkopf"
"Only genuine with the star-trademark on the cap top." -
Sorry for the annoying question, but what is the bell tolling and tolling and tolling softly in the background. Special occasion?
Thanks for another great review. -
Very nice writer, wonder if these pens are still sold in eBay? Thanks doct

Do you have a way to tell if a Montblanc Noblesse (your video) is fake or real? I saw your video on the meisterstuck line, but do you have any knowledge on this model?
(Hopefully) I have one like this with a Broad nib that is very pleasant; ultra smooth writing experience.
Great review!! -
This monblanc reminds me of a waterman hemisphere especially because I used to own one in almost the exact same finish but it is remarkable how much the profiles of both pens resemble each other
-
Good gawd, do people ride chainsaws down your street? And I wonder in what percentage of your videos you do NOT drop something, lol. Anyway, that really is a lovely pen, but like you said a bit too thin for many.
-
Would be interesting to see a shootout between this Slimline and a Waterman Maestro of the same era. I have both and they're like identical cousins.
-
My mom recently gave me an old Noblesse she found packed in a box, not knowing what Mont Blanc is. She thought it was some $5 pen and was going to toss it but checked with me first, and oh my god I'm glad she did.

Hello,
thank you for this beautiful review. I just wanted to let you know that I have another MontBlanc pen really similar to this one but is black, without the third star, with a silver row on the clip and with a 14K white gold nib.
If you want to have a look at this and make a review/comparison I can send you it.
Regards,

That's a nice one. I agree...."refined" is the right word. Reminds me a bit of a Sailor Chalana or a Sheaffer Targa.

Hi Stephen:
I have a similar MB pen from the late 1980's called the "Noblesse." Love the pen! It writes very well and was a special gift.
If I remember correctly, it cost about $60 when it was bought it at the sadly departed Art Brown store in NYC.

I have this exact pen, everything you mentioned is spot on, excellent writer I have tiny hands so it works perfectly for me. One caveat though, if you buy one beware, Montblanc will not service the pen. I had a crack in the collar at the top, and my experience with Montblanc's customer service department was abysmal. I did find a wonderful man who did the repair for me in Germany. and I've had no problems with the pen since the repair was done. An excellent pen!

Is this the one that was produced by Aurora?
