I was very fortunate to be given samples of Montblanc inks by the Pen Shop to test out. Here are the inks I was given as an overview.... have you tried pelikan's brilliant brown? it's a great brown with golden undertones and shades in a way that is totally charming. it's my standard the way that many people use black ink

I have some of these. From the standard inks, I really like the Toffee brown. The one I am not enamoured with is the burgundy. My absolute favorite is the William Shakespeare red special edition..... Absolutely looove that one.

Actually I love brown inks (Especially Diamine-sepia, Omas Sepia and Iroshizuku Ina-ho). But green inks are my favourite. (Pelikan Edelstein Aventurine, Akkerman Groenemarkt Smaragd and MontBlanc Irish green are my most used greens.)

I feel just as you do concerning black and brown inks! :-)

Could you please do a. Video on some of your favorite inks? I would love to get a few recommendations for my collection :)

Fantastic video and lovely inks. Keep up the great work. Nick.

Royal Blue is my everyday ink. It's one of those inks I am not afraid to put in any pen. I agree on the Ancient Copper comments below. That is a nice ink. I am not a fan of brown ink, I did have a sample of Omas Sepia that I liked. ( Wish I would have got a whole bottle when it was available)
I had been wondering about the Oyster. I think after hearing you say that it reminded you of pencil a bit, I might grab and sample and try it out. Thanks for the review! -
Another fab review, Ive been ogling those gorgeous bottles. Im normally an old fashion ink bottle kinda girl, but these look gorgeous.
As for the colours thanks for sharing each one and giving us an indepth summary of them. I do like the Royal Blue and the Irish Green has a lovely brightness to it. However I would normally jump to buying the purple inks but Im not a lover of this Lavender purple as its more of a purple black and I prefer writing in brighter colours.
But I would be tempted to buy the Irish Green just for the bottle sitting on my desk lol!
Thanks again. -
You should try Diamine "Ancient Copper", I find this is an excellent ink.

Diamine do a lovely ink called Ancient Copper, not sure that I would call it a totally brown ink, more orange brown. If you haven't used it, it could be worth a look at. Thanks for an interesting video

I totally agree with your comment about brown inks. I'm now trying out my third but none really work for me not even for Calligraphy

I like royal blue but I don't feel something special on others colours
