Driving from Italy (Italia) to France through Mont Blanc Tunnel. The tunnel links Courmayeur, Aosta Valley (Valle d'Aosta) with Chamonix, Haute-Savoie (Upper Savoy). It's part of European route E25. It opened to the public on 19 July 1965. It has a total length of 11,611 meters and a maximum elevation of 1,395 meters making it the 12th longest road tunnel in the world and the 2nd highest motorway in Europe respectively. The tunnel passes under the summit of the Aiguille du Midi, where it lies 2,480 meters beneath the surface, which makes it the deepest tunnel worldwide! Per me costruire questi tunnel non avendo strade larghe e poi senza corsia d' emergenza è solo assurdo.

Thanks for this video, tomorrow I'm going to take this tunnel, and I was deadly scared (I have some kind of tunnel fobia) and your video helped me figuring out what I was going to approach, I now I feel that I can do it! Thank you so much

Amazing !! You have to be extra careful with the speed limit even if you drive a foreign car. I have just read that a bi-national patrol can stop you at both exits of the tunnel if you get caught by a fixed speed camera or if you don't respect the safety distance. There are 5 speed cameras, if you get caught by all of them you will pay only one fine in France while in Italy you'll have to pay 5 xD
