My take on Mont Blanc Legend Special Edition

I just found one in Burlington Coat factory I don't know what year it is.
-
climb mont blanc and smell nice tell drope down bad smell from the loo!
-
Are you talking about the 2013 special edition or the 2012? Grey bottle or blue bottle?
-
I may have to pick this SE up soon as well. I have worn it a few more times and I get this nice oregano/herbal vibe to it in the heart, very interesting for a designer frag.
-
I really like mont Blanc legend, but have focused on other purchases, will be looking for this, sounds interesting, and yes, mint is in everything this year.
-
@thundergranitecolor I have been wanting to try that one myself. I'm not a big Boss fan as of late and my store doesn't carry it, but I will look for it and see what I can do :)
-
Update 3/31/13 I wore this again last night and in the heart got this really interesting herbal note that was almost like oregano. It was very nice! I think I will have to get this one.

There might be some confusion with the year since the only Special Edition from MB was actually issued in 2012 and that's the one I reviewed here. I think it was released in Europe first and maybe select stores in the states and is now getting a wider release in the US now. I haven't heard about a different and new SE coming out yet, but I didn't know about this one until it was on my shelf :) Definitely try this SE out, it is nice.
-
Great video, as always. Do you know if there is a 2013 SE? When I did a google search, a couple sites alluded to it. I'd like to get the 2012, but I'll wait if there's a new one headed our way. THANKS!!

Yea it's a spray. Looks just like the EDT bottle except its a Matt finish instead of the gloss black.
-
It's a spray?? I had no idea, and I sold plenty of them lol. I'm not a big fan of after shave splashes (or splashes in spray form) :) they are basically 95% alcohol and unless you use a moisturizer after you run the risk of messing up the PH balance of your skin. If you don't want to keep it, give it to a young kid in the neighborhood, he'll prolly love it :)

Love your reviews! To the point!!!! Anyway, I may have pick this one up too. There has been so many good reviews of MB Legend I purchased it a couple weeks ago. I got the gift set-3.4EDT/3.4Aftershave Lotion. I have Terre D'Hermes, Allure Homme, The Dreamer, A*Men, Le Male, D&G Pour Homme, etc. and this is the only one that garners compliments everytime I wear it, and I do mean everytime! I'm still trying to figure out how the aftershave is supposed to be used. It's a 3.4oz spray lol?!?!?!?!?

Thanks man! Hmmm, I don't have a sample of MBL SE with me right now, and can't say that I have really honed in on that pineapple note you talk of in the original. What I can say is SE is a nice flanker to the orig, the familiar base is there, but the spearmint gets most of the spotlight. I'd say if you liked MBL, for any reason, you will like the SE.
-
just subed. very in depth review. with your great speaking voice. one question. does this legend have the 'pineapple' note that i liked in the original mont blanc?
-
Glad you like them! And No, the mint is much different than in Roadster. This is a spearmint that blends well with the other notes. The mint that is in Roadster dominates the fragrance to me, in a good way. The spearmint in MBL SE is a very fresh, edible note. Think of mint leaves being mashed up in a mojito, but without the sugary sweetness.
-
Thanks for all the vids you've been making on all these new fragrances. This one sounds nice. Is the mint note as dominant as it is in Roadster?
-
Sweet :) let us know how you like it :)
-
Very nice. When did this appear on at your stores? Was it last year or more recently?
-
Own both the original and this limited edition. Fresh mint added is the difference really. I would rate both 7.5/10. Claus from Denmark
