Hey there! I just started playing MWO a few days ago and picked up an Atlas S myself! Love the video, helpful and fun to watch. I'm also a bit of a gym goer too, so I hope this helps:
*Diet first and foremost is important. You don't have to go crazy with it but your body is like an engine, if you feed it poor fuel it wont work properly and your mileage will be awful; you can tweak everything else to get better performance but if you don't start at first step everything else will just waste your time because your body wont have the fuel it needs to grow and function properly.
*Cardio is very important after that. You don't have to run miles every day, just take the time a few days out of the week to briskly walk for 30 minutes while listening to some music, try to get your heart rate up. After doing that for a couple weeks you can try to comfortably jog. Your heart is a muscle that can be trained like any other, cardio will train it and your lungs to be more efficient and will help you burn body fat too, if your energy expenditure is higher than your intake. Again, just do this a few times a week with a days rest between so you don't stress your body out. There's tons of videos out there on proper form while jogging, make sure to look them up so you don't end up with shin splints like I did. Just make sure to get a nice pair of sneakers.
*The best muscle workouts to start are simple ones, do as many push ups/sit ups/tip-toes/squats as you can, record it, and then do 1/3rd of that in your normal routine, and switch to each different exercise inbetween "Sets" of those push ups/ect. Do a cycle of those exercises 3 times, and then your done. If you want to use weights but dont have any, an easy trick is to get large jugs from the grociery, I like the gallon Hawaiian punch ones because they have a nice handle, and when you're done drinking it you can fill it with water and curl/shoulder lift that. Plus, you have a nifty jug of water just in case you need it if the tap goes off, or to keep in the garage to mix with whatever window washer/antifreeze fluids you might need.
I hope that's a good start for you, thanks for the video man it was very fun to watch. -
If you want to get in shape fast, the Insanity workout is hard but it will get you in shape fast. Make sure you don't have weak knees like mine though.
