Lärche is one of our ten beautiful chalets here at St Martin Chalets in the Lungau region of the Austrian Alps, halfway between Salzburg and Klagenfurt airports. Lärche is appointed with hand-crafted furniture throughout, has a fully equipped kitchen and features a real wood fire based on a traditional Austrian 'Kachelofen' - a feature that is common to all the chalets. We'll light this for you each day on request and a basket of firewood is supplied free of charge. Even without the fire the chalet is kept wonderfully warm, thanks to real sheep's wool insulation combined with state-of-the-art underfloor heating powered from our eco-friendly boilers (the entire resort is energy self-sufficient and St Martin Chalets constituted Austria's first environmentally friendly holiday village) The spacious open plan living area is equipped with large, comfy sofa, flat-screen TV and DVD player. A large selection of DVDs is available from reception, although you're welcome to bring your own. The dining table comfortably seats 10 people, although you could squeeze more in if you wanted to. The fully fitted kitchen is hand-built from 300-year-old larch with granite work surfaces and features a dishwasher, oven, grill and hob, as well as a complete supply of pots, pans, cutlery, crockery and drinking glasses. For those of you who don't particularly want to cook, we offer a variety of catering and food delivery options, as well as stocking your fridge and cupboards prior to your arrival. The bedrooms all come with fluffy towels and crisp cotton bedlinen and boast breathtaking mountain views In addition the master bedroom has an en-suite and its own private balcony, This chalet also boasts a converted loft space, which is a haven for teens and can sleep up to 4 extra people.
