Nice review. I am wondering what is that F nib pen named?
-
This ink is a lot more expensive than Noodler's Lexington Gray. (Also waterproof.) Would you say it's worth it? Is the color darker than Noodeler's? Thx.
-
When is the weekly fptv show returning, if ever?
-
Hi Steven. Other than this ink being permanent , have you anything else to say comparing this to the MB Oyster grey?
-
Hi Stephen- I like your Gothic better than your foundational ;) Definitely looking at getting this ink, love the subtle shading on it. Quick note, the ink was made for the 90th Anniversary of the Meisterstück branding (1924), not the company itself (1906)

Appreciate this review very much and have ordered a bottle - I'm going to use it to contrast with headings and subheadings in Aurora black, and main text in MB Grey in a journal. I'm sure this will give me the effect I want.

Dr. Brown, very good review! Good luck with your Ph.D! I myself is going to start my Ph.D study soon in the field of South Asian Study. By the way, if you can find time, could you do a review of Sailor Sei-Boku Blue-Black ink or Platinum Pigment Blue? They are quite popular in fountain pen users in East Asian countries.
Thank you for the nice reviews you have done, keep up the good work! -
I really enjoy your ink reviews and inkcyclopedia!
I was wondering if you have ever tried Organic studios inks? They seem interesting but I haven't seen as many reviews of them, so I haven't bit the bullet yet. -
How does it compare to Montblanc Einstein grey aside from the permanency?
-
I get that your efforts at providing us with fountain pen video content takes up a ridiculous amount of time and I thank you for that. Have you thought about using one easy to clean pen, say, a TWSBI Vac 700, with a series of interchangeable nibs. That might make things faster. For me, seeing the ink on another kind of paper would be more interesting than seeing it with different pens. Just a thought, I really appreciate all of the work that you do.
-
Thank you Stephen! The lite version is fine, as it gives just enough info to see if the ink is something we want to try! Like the color of this one.
-
Great review as usual. Thank you for devoting the time required to record it. And the ink is pretty cool also. Would this be similar in street price to the Pilot Iroshizuku series or, perhaps, more expensive?

hmm Permanent gray/Grey huh... I'm also interested in how Permanent Black is Different from Mystery Black (which I honestly hate but eh I bought it for the bottle hahaha) since I have heard MB has changed the formulation of their Midnight Blue and then made a new ink called Permanent Blue along with it's cousin Permanent Black (which I hope isnt a blue black ink)

Am I correct that the page lining is what is called French Lined?
-
Doc Brown- I doubt you will lose an real FPGeeks by doing the Inkcycopedia Lite Editions. Do what you can when you are able.
Good luck on the successful doctorate thesis defense. I know there is is a special word for this type of work but can not think of it right now.

0:25 Ph. D!!?!?! In what field? Huge congratulations!! And what is this gentleman's occupation? Someone reply plz?
-
Very glad you brought it back.
-
Can you do a review of the new Montblanc Midnight Blue non IG ink, and what you think of it compared to the original Midnight Blue IG ink.
-
I miss the flex writing. Not all inks are suited for flex. In fact, most aren't. It's an important part for me. =(

I really like this format. As interesting and in-depth as your previous Inkcyclopedia videos were, I sometimes (not always) found that they dragged out a bit. This is perfect, at least for me.
And that is a really nice ink. I've wanted to pick up a grey ink for quite some time now, but have been unable to decide on one (although I should ideally try them all at some point). This looks to fulfill all my criteria.
As always, thank you for doing this.
