Which one is better in terms of colour and flow, MB Lavender Purple or Pelikan Edelstein Amethyst?
-
Great review, you have convinced me to buy this ink!
Hmm water resistance is like a double edged sword. Water washable means it's bad for permanency, but then again it makes it very simple to clean out -
Um you said everytime you eat it you want some blueberry pie at the end lol
-
reminds me a little bit of Poussiere de Lune

Love the review! That ink is beautiful, and I've fallen for that stunning Waterman Ideal #7 it's just wonderful to watch, the line variation that you get with that pen and nib is incredible! I'm very curious as to where you were able to purchase this pen? If you don't mind would you please let me know? I'd love to be able to keep an eye out for one. Thanks Matt, as always I so enjoy your opinions and your reviews, superb!

and more
Couold you compare this purple to the Waterman Tender Purple.. as there is a big price difference and not sure if they are both winners in your eyes.. thank you -
very nice very pretty
An aside... do you have a link to anyone selling Akkerman ink here in the states? -
I'm just blown away every time by how big the differences are with the different nibs. In every ink review I've watched it's almost 3 or 4 completely different colors depending on the nib. I see it with my Diamine Sunshine Yellow as well which is light yellow with my extra fine nib and honey yellow with orange shading with the fine nib (both Lamy), but it's still impressive to see.
This ink is beautiful by the way, it's definitely going on my list of purples when I might need them. -
Thank you, Matt. The color is gorgeous. I learned a lot from this video. Blessings for sharing your time and energy.

Pretty, pretty, pretty! Thanks, Matt! Beautiful ink!
(Looks somewhat like Noodler's Black Swan In Australian Roses or Diamine Merlot) -
to me, MB lavender purple is undistinguishable from Edelstein Amethyst in the limited pens and paper I've tried them in. Have you noticed this too? I like them too!
-
You don't have a problem my friend you have a hobby! happy 420!
-
hihi finally using chromatography paper ;-)
-
I found one too!! and here in mexico is very unusual to find any good purple ink.
-
All those mentions of blueberry pie has made me hungry... :) Beautiful ink; now I have a good reason to stop by the local MB shop to pick up a bottle of this along with Irish Green.

127 inks in two years ... I just can say WOW. Any time you want to sell the ones who you are not using any more let me know.
-
Matt, we love you in California! Questions for you though, I thought purple/red ink is not good for pens re staining - especially celluloid?
-
Enjoy your videos. How does the MB Lavender look next to the De Atramentis Aubergine? Would you be willing to upload a comparison photo?
-
I think you should try some Akkerman inks Matt. They are really nice. And the bottles are the most clever design I ever saw. Unfortunately for you non Dutch out there. You can only get it from the Akkerman store in the Netherlands. But they have a webshop. (Maybe SBRE Brown can send you some.)

Love your Ink Spot reviews now in addition to your regular reviews! Especially the chromatography! Both are always informative and on top of that an eye candy too!
