Ink Review: MontBlanc Burgundy Red Ink

Here I review an ink by MontBlanc, by the title of "Burgundy" (a...type of red). Here-in may be found my own thoughts and opinions on the matter, as well as some test results I have for (among other factors) water-resistance on Clairefontaine, Rhodia, Copier Paper, Mead Notebook Paper, Tomoe River Paper, and Moleskine papers, and using a JinHao X450, with a fairly-wet-&-fairly-Broad nib as a pen for these tests/experiments.

I really like this ink. Montblanc should have named this Bordeaux or Merlot red, not burgundy red. If you want a burgundy, then this ink is not for you, but it's a nice darker alternative to red. The ink shades nicely, flows well, and is an attractive red wine color.

Ehm, I hate to disagree with you'all, but I got this yesterday. And I simply just love the colour. It's not at all like you described. It's a deep, rich red.

They should have named the ink Bordeaux or Merlot as it is like a red wine colour. I rather like it a lot and it shades really nice.

Ok I've now sampled this , the colour I have is call Bordeaux but I am assured its is the same as Burgundy Red. I tried it in my Jinhao X750 ink hose pipe on Clairefontaine , Paper blanks & Copy Paper. It did feather and spread and woolify on the copy paper and to some extent on the Paper Blanks paper on Clairefontaine it was good
However on all of these papers mine looks more saturated and less watery , there is shading on all the papers , its definitely a deeper colour in the sample I have or at least in the pen I used how odd is that ? What are your thoughts ? -
Disappointing ink washed out pink, not much else to say . I wonder if the bottled ink is different although I highly doubt it .
