Actually the hair doesn't define the character, just because there is a slight difference doesn't change who the character is people have their "Headcanons" as in "If this character were real they would look bla bla bla" Artists tend to play with characters looks. So you can't really say that just because her hair is longer that its a different character. Take the character Dirk Strider for example alot of people draw him in different ways, I think you get the point. :3
