The scenery was spectacular but on the downside the segments were not long enough to enjoy.

I did the entire journey, Zermatt to St Moritz and it is spectacular but for anyone thinking of doing the same journey, please note that the Glacier Express is exactly that, an express journey. To fully appreciate the scenery I would recommend what I did and that was to do the journey on slow local trains, far more time, far more relaxed, a lot of the time we had the whole compartment to ourselves.

Absolutely stunning scenery, but I am very sensitive to repetitive noises, and that constant thumping would probably cause me to run amok.

Absolutely beautiful! I've only been to Switzerland once and got as far as Zermatt but did not have a chance to ride this train. Guess I'll have to go back.

hey ,if anyone else wants to uncover how to build scenery for model railroad try Qwixie Scenery Designs Helper ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate got amazing success with it.
