The Berchtesgaden Alps (Berchtesgadener Alpen) are situated on the border between Germany and Austria. At 2713m Grosser Watzmann is the highest peak standing entirely within Germany. It's a ridge of 3 peaks - N-summit (Hocheck 2651 m; Middle (and highest)summit (Mittelspitze 2713 m) and S-summit (Suedspitze 2712 m - aka Suedspitze ). Video shows the 3 peaks being traversed by the great Watzmann-Ueberschreitung (ridge traverse). The other summit filmed was the Hochkalter (2607 m) which includes the northernmost glacier of the Alps. This summit was reached from Blaueishut over "Schöner Fleck", Rotpalfen (Wasserwandkopf) and Kleinkalter.
