Would you be able to do a video of the disassembly of a Montblanc 221 by any chance?
-
Nice video! Would these disassembly instructions work for a Montblanc 31?

Very clear and helpful video, thanks. I followed your method to dismantle and restore to working order a MB121 which shares the same structure and mechanics and it worked like a charm. (Interesting accent though!)

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO DISASSEMBLY MECHANICALPENCIL SATARWALKER OF MONTBLANC? PLEASE HELP ME.
-
Oddly when I unscrew barrel off, the piston shell stays on the barrel side and it's disconnected from the section. (and since I figured I'd need sealant I never bothered to remove that portion from the barrel area) And not the other way around. When I've done this I never bothered with the ink shield on the barrel side because I figured I'd need a sealant of sort for it, because if I re-assemble it without some form of sealant (like silica gel) I'll likely get a slow creep around the ink window if I don't provide some kind of sealant to the thread. Course I have a 225 which may have a slightly different setup, especially as I can't get the nib to move at all on it.

it does look as if Visconti did not notice that one side of the nib(wing), it is not spaced equally from feed as the the other wing when they replaced medium with broad gold nib.

Thank you for giving me some indication of what may be wrong. Visconti US has now authorized me to contact nibmeister you suggested but he is currently out of the country and advised customers that he will have a 10 week turn around on repairs so Im stuck right now. I am using Visconti cartridges right now to bypass the surface tension issue on the replaced converter. If you look at the nib from the feed or ventral side, it does look as if Visconti did not notice that one side

I have the same pen Montblanc 320, which belongs to my late Father. This is a very helpful video for me, particularly putting silicone grease on the piston. The resemblance to Lamy 2K is uncanny.

Today the Opera Elements stopped writing entirely again although the visconti converter looked almost fool. I don't understand this. If it was the feed wouldnt the pen have difficulty writing all week? But that was not the case; it wrote and the ink was quite wet. The only short term solution was to carefully turn the converter knob until I saw some ink in the nib area of the feed. That is the only way I have been able to use the rest of the ink in the converter (Aurora Black).
