I dont get something maybe i can get an answer. Mount Everest holds the record for most successful summits correct??? Mount Everest is also the highest Mountain on the planet. There is no way that every single person that has reached the summit is in tip top physical shape. How come other mountains such as The Eiger and Annapurna along with other small mountains dont hold the record for most summits considering how much smaller they are. Part 2 of my question Mount Everest has been summited so many times isnt it kind of like a been there done that, im curious as to why this Mountain gets way more action than the others. Wouldn't anyone be interested in climbing the other Mountains ???? and if i get the answer about Everest being the tallest, im thinking after 20 thousand feet does it really make a difference. I totally love these Mountain Climbing Documentaries i dont have the stones for this shit, but i admire anyone that does.

Mauna Kia is the tallest mountain in the world because Everest is 8k meters and mauna Kia is 10k but 6k of it is under water

What do the sherpas look like in real life's Mount Everest?

A chiropractor go crazy here. Lousy pay, but steady work!

What a stupid recreation to get your thrills out of.. If you need thrills in your life, just smoke crack — that's a better way of getting high.

Everyone needs to stop bitching. These guys get paid, and they get paid WELL, to be human mules. They make their yearly wages in just a few months on Everest. It's in their blood. No one's putting a gun to their heads and forcing them to do it. So bitch please, get off it already. They offer a service. Rich people and groups pay for said services. Stop the bitching and whining like these are slaves or something, cause they are NOT.

Love and prayers to the Sherpas. They have my respect and admiration for their kind spirit and incredible work ethic!

can we not just see one of K2?

I'm not sure I'd describe the Sherpas as "un-sung heroes". Anyone who doesn't recognise the vital part they play in climbing Everest is a complete fool! Anyone who has been on an 8000m expedition knows the huge efforts they put in and the risks they take to allow rich westerners to fulfill their dreams. They certainly don't get paid enough though and some clients with summit fever may loose sight of their humanity but very few climbers doubt the vital role they play. I personally have nothing but admiration and a deep affection for these great people.

20:08 Shout out to the guy with the Six Feet Under tshirt. Death Metal reaches remote regions in Nepal.

if you cant carry a half of your own shit, why you go to everest??? just go to the beach and lay down under the sun..
-
Why don't they build a tram with oxygen/climate controlled gondolas and observation stations? Perhaps have a soup/salad bar and a gift shop at the summit. Maybe a small wedding chapel on the West side of the summit.
