How bout when that light starts to warm up, and you realize where you are???... worth dying to see. Even If only once.

Great video!!! Thank you. I love how you show at the beginning the training, acclimatisation etc. which is nowadays so important when people think they can do the Matterhorn and all Switzerland in 3 days.... My grandfather saw such a person who went up from zero, with sneakers and made it up, came down and died of exhaustion a few days later - a long time ago. I hopefully will also make it up there soon - now skiing in Zermatt ;)

Nice video, looks like an awesome climb, good job!

Great footage and good that as much was put into the descent as well as the ascent. Congrats on a great climb.

I'm planning on climbing Matterhorn solo this summer. Do I really need to carry rope with me to rappell down some sections, or it could be done using just the fixed ropes attached to the mountain?
-
You take yourself way too seriously. But glad you had fun
-
how much swiss francs did this set you back, included all expenses? climb looks like fun, bit of a circus though with all the fixed ropes, certainly designed to have the zermatt guides to have a comfortable day.
-
Sorry but just like Everest the Matterhorn is a joke to climb these days. Tons of fixed rope, tons of metal fixed to the mountain where you can loop your rope, red dye on the rocks all the way up showing you the way -- it is all a silly cheat compared to when Whymper first climbed it.

Great footage

Kinda reminds me of illinizia in winter like a super ginormous scramble with some tightrope walking/ more serious bits (for me atleast, i am 2x the size of most climbers) at the end good vid though gives people a bit of reality of what is actually up there as opposed to pics the matterhorn like all mountains is a bit better in some regards than it looks (the ridge is a lot less scary than it looks) and worse at once (BLOODY QUEUES, and the final ridge)
