That's genuinely the music that starts playing automatically when you reach the top.

Nice video! Whats the average cost to summit this mountain? I go skiing every year to avoriaz which is in chamonix. Wouldnt be a bad idea to stay on another week and bag this baby :-D

Excellent Video which brings back memories of my own climb to the summit of MTB many years ago by the Grand Mulets Route after walking the Haute Route in early August from Chamonix to Saas Fee:) BTW - I've also climbed Kebnekaise amidst clouds of mosquitos in Swedish Lapland! Warm Seasonal Greetings! - Denise

Cool

Intresting, how much does it usually cost to have a guide take you up there for the week?

@mountainguidetravel Above all many thanks for the response. I might have spoken a bit too much, as I did not go too deep into the video and the link. A three days training is enough to give a basic knowledge of the skills needed or a good refresh for an experienced mountaineer. Also a ratio of 1:2 is acceptable as it gives confidence and knowledge of the whole group --perfect that you guys are CMG certified. My talk was because of my own mistakes due to over confidence - which is dangerous. Ta!

Dear Alejoenhispania I agree with you on that fact that a lot of people underestimate Mont Blanc and try to climb it unprepared. However, I do not agree with you that that was the case for this group. The group was 4 guests and 2 Mountain Guides. The guests has 3 days of preparation training and did great. They learned what they needed to climb Mont Blanc together with a Certified Mountain Guide. They don't have the skills to do the climb on there own. But that was not the goal.

That group was little prepared, thus their individual weaknesses but themselves and the whole group (guide included) in danger. For starters: They were receiving crampons and piolet training the same week (3:29) of the climb!. Although it is not technically difficult climb, Mont Blanc is constantly underestimated and every year it takes the lives of many climbers. Next year I want to go up, but only IF I find my climbing knowledge and physical preparedness ready for a sunny or a sudden storm.
