Feb 2006 - a fire spread through some of Chamonix's oldest buildings leaving the Cy-bar and Dick's T-Bar out of action. Strange how it took so long to put out seeing how the fire station is less than 100m away

That's nuts! Myself and 9 others were there about 3 weeks later! God the stink of burnt wood was awful had to drink in bar'd up a fair bit. Terrible really. Was there this year too (2009) and hope to go back in 2010 sometime. Vive la grand montets,no?
