CCC® 2016 The CCC (Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix) Race is one of the five events which takes place under the general banner of the UTMB (Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc) which is held every August in Chamonix, France. The CCC is 101kms with 6100 metres of vertical ascent. It starts in Courmayeur, Italy at 09:00 on the Friday of the festival. (This year it was on Friday 26/08/16). Runners are allowed a maximum of 26:30 to follow the course via Champex, Switzerland to finish in Chamonix, France in a non-stop race. This year there were about 1800 starters and 744 of these were either timed-out or withdrew.

Travel Runner: It's a compact camera, Sony Cybershot DSC TX30. I hold it on a mini-tripod which makes for a much more stable platform & I am much practised in holding it steady. The TX30 has some built-in stability software (not sure how much). During editing in Adobe Premier Elements, I apply its stability function to each clip. The main thing though is trying to hold it as steady as possible during filming.

Nice work on documenting the race. What are you using to stabilize the video?

Great Vid mate,well done on getting that far,i dnf at La pouley,better than last year,i was stopped at Annuva,hopefully 3rd time lucky

Cracking film John. You must think I'm so rude, walking off half way through a conversation, but I was so spaced out, I don't even remember seeing you at the finish! Bad luck with the time out.

I hate those cut-offs. I am just starting my trail "career" and got timed-out in the Trail of Beaumes-De-Provence (30K, 1800D+). 45% of us did not make it, but still it hurts.
