Shame you didn't get inside it's really overly ornate as the owner Ludwig II was quite an eccentric . He also owned and built other castles including the one below you showed. His death is still a mystery , put down as suicide but many believed he was murdered .

my mother was born and raised in Germany and she moved to America at 16. I have visited Germany and I fell in love with the culture, the views and the castles. everything about Germany is welcoming and friendly. I have actually visited this castle. and my aunt lives at the foot of the mountain of this castle and you can see it from her backyard up on the mountain. it's breathtakingly beautiful. do glad I found your page! I'm a fellow explorer in Kansas. for fun of course.

Tornado sirens I live in "tornado ally" here in America il and it's first Tuesday of every month but I don't even hear it anymore because I'm so used to hearing it.

In the U.K. In avonmouth there is a massive Dock and they could make a new siren so they used the old WWII war siren and you could hear it for miles
