Vistas in the opening scenes are from Oukaïmeden in the Atlas mountains looking northward. The ski resort was a hot spot for birds and people alike on this cold Sunday morning in March. Alpine and Red-billed Chough formed huge, raucous foraging flocks, while Crimson-winged Finches and a Horned Lark scrambled for their morning sustenance. The road down the south side was backed up for miles, but gave us time to spot Levalliant’s Green Woodpecker (no video). Among other species seen were House and Rock Buntings and Song Thrush. This is part of a series of videos from a trip to Morocco led by BirdID, Norway, from March 5-14, 2016. See the Birds of Morocco playlist on my channel for more videos from this trip. Welcome to BIRDING VISIONS - nature films of birds across North America, Europe, and the Middle East. With these video vignettes I hope to share some of the sublime beauty of birds and their habitats. The channel specializes in combining closeup footage of birds with portraits of the biotope and surrounding landscape. These are both documentary clips and impressions of an experience. The scenes are far-ranging – from the Rock Wren of remote Willis Creek Slot Canyon, Utah, to singing Whinchat in the coastal heathland of Norway, to bands of Arabian Babblers in the Negev Desert, Israel. Full HD 1920-1080 footage and high-quality audio recording. Videos on the channel are organized by geographical regions, country, and state. This is a non-monetized no-ads channel. Contact clive.bramham@gmail.com for licensing of footage and other enquiries.
