With pleasure for having been a part of this adventure and with pride for being a member of PDS Velebit mountaineering club I share these photos. Photos of „The Velebit crew“ roaming the Alps. They are taken during a 4 day Alpine mountaneering trip organized by our club Velebit, as a part of a course for ascents in high mountains. In 4 days our team has ascended Hochfeiler (italian name: Gran Pilastro), the highest peak of Zillertal Alps (3509m) and has hiked across an amazing glacier below Hoher Weisszint (Punta Bianca; 3370m) peak. This time, Punta Bianca remained unreachable, due to conditions below and on the ridge leading to the peak. But, we have learned a lot about glacier traverse and have enjoyed some amazing views (check out the photos)! In these few days, we have experienced team spirit, support, trust, adrenaline, friendship and fun. For some of us, it was also another step forward in the world of high altitude mountaineering. Crossing the final ridge to Gran Pilastro was an experience that will certainly leave its trace in our mountaineering future. As will the moment when we found ourselves in the middle of a grand Alpine glacier, hiking upwards, towards the Sun! So much self development, as well as fun can we have in the mountains :) … Enjoy the photos! P.S. This album is devoted to my fellow PDS Velebit club members, as well as all those in loved with mountains. It is about friendship on the mountain and about reaching a higher level of self-confidence and physical capabilities, together with your club mates. We all push each other forward. And we are lucky to have ones that know when it is time to make a step back! Thank you Mario Jelić and PDS Velebit for a great Alpine adventure!
