Amazing Temperature Inversion on "The Cobbler"
Mountain | reviews | videos | photos
Late December in Scotland has very short days and beautiful light, so I ventured out to a magnificent mountain at the head of Loch Long called The Cobbler. Falling short of that 3000 foot cutoff for munro status (2900 feet), the cobbler is one of the finest mountains in Scotland. Surrounded by the Arrochar Alps of Beinn Narnain and Beinn Ime protruding through the clouds it was an extremely memorable experience and well worth the effort.

Scaled it two days ago, amazing views! Legs still a bit sore but not used to anything near as strenuous. Want to go back and do some other peaks now.
