A press conference held by French Police today has revealed the name of the father of the British family murdered in a shooting in the French Alps as Saad al Hilli, an Iraqi born, naturalised British citizen who lived in Claygate surrey. They also believe that the family were deliberately targeted in the popular tourist destination. He was found dead in his bullet-riddled BMW in eastern France, along with his wife and another woman - believed to be one of their parents. Mr Hili and his mother were shot in the head as well as a cyclist were shot in the head. An eight-year-old girl was found near the car with gunshot wounds and a fractured skull and is in a critical condition in hospital in the city of Grenoble. Her four-year-old sister was found alive hiding underneath the front passenger seat - eight hours after the massacre and is now being cared for in psychiatric hospital. In the UK, Surrey Police have said they are assisting the French authorities and liaising with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office following the shooting. Written and presented by Ann Salte
