Really great job covering all features & set-up. Thanks for posting.

Thank you nightfall22 for your positive feedback! I would agree that if you are a big guy and looking for a tent to create some good memories with your boys, then a four man would likely be the way to go. All the best in your journey and feel free to let us know what you'd like to see more of in the gear and trail reviews!

smashing review! Wanted to thank you and your wife for making this video brother. I enjoyed it. It puts things in perspective. I'm a big guy but wanted a tent to go with my 2 oldest boys... Maybe a 4 man would be better suited for us. I really enjoyed your video though. Thank you again and God bless

You're welcome! Thank you for the feedback! We expect to have a half dozen reviews up in the next month and hope you find those helpful too. And thanks for the tips on other Alps products.

Very nice review! I was just checking out some 3 person options for my wife and I and I happened upon the Extreme. Even the 2 person is fairly roomy. Alps is surprising me with the quality of their products. Their sleeping bags rock. I have a 0 and a -20 Desert Pine. I also have a sleeping pad which is excellent. But I digress...:) Thanks for the review!

Thanks for the positive feedback-- it's our pleasure! The Extreme 3 tent has two small screens on either side (check out the 2:39 mark in the video), a partially screened top (best seen at the 0:24 mark), and both doors are screened (try the 0:27 mark). When the rain fly is on there are two vents on either side (best illustrated at the 1:10 & 2:39 marks). The spots in the video aren't perfect but will hopefully give you a good enough idea! You can check out the written review on our website.

I wish we could say "yes" and give you the details, but we have yet to test the Extreme 3 tent in the rain. We live in a very dry area and are keeping a lookout for rainy forecasts where we can challenge this tent and other items in wet weather. We will follow up with how it coped in the rain as soon as we can. In the meantime check out the written review on our website. Thanks for your comment and feel free to let us know what other information you'd like to see in gear reviews.

It's difficult to find any 360° views of this tent on the internet. Regarding ventilation, can you elaborate as to the location and size of, and any other ventilation screens on this tent? Do the doors and top have screens? This is not very clear with existing pictures. Thanks for the vid! It's the only one I could find with any good detail of the Extreme series.

There are two guylines on the Alps Mountaineering Extreme 3 tent. They are located, one on each side, above the ventilation system. Thanks for asking! Feel free to send us a message to let us know what kind of information you would like to see in future gear and/or hiking reviews.
