Practising emergency medicine in the mountains can be extremely challenging. High altitude, extreme temperatures, strong winds, unpredictable weather, weight issues, limited resources and no place for mistakes. Air Zermatt in Switzerland offer courses on a high level that prepares you for demanding rescues under extreme conditions. Air Zermatt has the knowledge and experience in mountain medicine and has been performing thousands of rescues on the highest peaks in the Swiss Alps under difficult conditions. In order to achieve the diploma (for Physicians) or certificate (for Paramedics) one is required to successfully complete the Mountain Emergency Medicine courses summer and winter and pass the final exam. This is my private video from the Winter Mountain Emergency Medicine course held in May 2011.
