"South Island is one of the best motorcycling area"
I totally agree with you as seen this video!
Wish I could be riding there one day. -
Brilliant ride, awesome scenery, video very well produced with vlogging. Cheers from France! :-)

Fabulous video, great scenery and very informative commentary. South Island is certainly a beautiful part of NZ.

Such nice trips, thanks for sharing. I hope you may answer a question: My mrs's and I are considering coming to NZ for a biketrip. The problem is to get our hands on 2 bikes. Renting is way to expensive (because of the insurance, mainly). So we were wondering if it made any sense purchasing 2 bikes, when we arrive, and then sell them again, before we leave. Is this something worth considering, or is too hard for foreigners to register and insure bikes in NZ ? I'm from Denmark, and here the rules are quite harsh. You must have a fixed adress to register and insure a bike.

Great ride - great place - maybe one day - we'll get over there and have a look see. Would be even better if we could bike it too. Thanks for the video.

That was fun watching your trip Jonathon. Territory I have driven through a couple of times but in a car or campervan. Given decent weather I would very much enjoy doing it on my bike. Something I am considering doing.
Cheers. -
Gobsmackingly beautiful. I've recently moved to NZ and only explored the North Island so far. I've been up to Cape Reinga and around Northland, Waikato, Taupo, Cormandel and Tongariro which were great but can't wait to get over to the mainland ;)

Well what can I say , I don't know much about new Zealand, but after watching your vids what a lovely country and great biking roads, make me want to visit, and nice to see a original unmolested old school bike still doing what it was designed for, Keep up the good work and stay sunny side up, all the best from england

History lesson..
The statue of the dog at lake Tekapo is in commemoration of James MacKenzie a sheep musterer who use to travel the Mackenzie country (the reason for its name) with his dog "Friday" stealing sheep in the mid 1850's -
Superb video cheers.Amazing scenery alright.
Did you say near the start of the video your mate Grant has a channel too? If you have the link id be keen to take a look if its motovlog stuff :) -
Very nice video. Sorry to hear you can't stand cruisers :)

Hi Johnathan, would like to ask if it's ok in new zealand to just stop and park your vehicle at the side of the road (on the grass patch) just to take pictures of the scenarios?
-
That Kawasaki is a beaut! I'm going to have to keep my eye open for one.
Looks like a great trip! -
