2 Mens Designer Fragrances that Smell Alike - Mont Blanc Presence & Yves St. Laurent L'Homme

These are 2 different designer mens cologne/fragrances that bear a striking smell resemblance to one another. One is Mont Blanc Presence which is a cheap men's fragrance options that smells great. The other scent is one of the best colognes I've smelled- Yves St. Laurent L'homme which cost a bit more. So if you like the scent, a money saving tip is to try out the Mont Blanc as it's smell is a bit similar. That isn't to say that these mens colognes are exactly alike, so you may like to try them both out for yourself at a frangrance counter and see with your nose how each one smells on your skin and how the colognes develop. Both are beautifully done in my opinion. The Mont Blanc is a touch cooler smelling to my nose, and the L'homme is really a touch more Gingery. Which I really like too.

Hi Paul....this post just shows how subjective the world of fragrances are!! I don't see much similarities between Presence and L'Homme. I think L'Homme smells very generic but Presence is just so unique! I do sense the mint on Presence and its beautifully soapy.

Wearing Presence today. Really like it and will see how well it performs for me today--Spring around 60F. Definitely get that hint of mint with a clean cotton background for me.

Hi, I've not tried Presence yet, but after peeking the notes in fragrantica maybe we could say that this Mont Blanc is a mix between L'Homme and Boss Bottled; the last one matching the cinnamon, apple and sandalwood.
I've also get similar aspects between the others mentioned (spicy-frutal opening and spicy-sweet-woody drydown).

I have Mont Blanc Presence, and I will have to disagree with you about it having Mint. In my opinion I cannot smell that note at all. I'll still have to see for myself if they smell alike. Thanks for the vid.

I would like to try Presence. Anyone know of a brick and mortar store that carries it?

I guess scent is just that subjective. I would say they are about as similar as aventus to tabacco vanille.
