The Stelvio Pass Today’s gallery is kicking off with the Stelvio Pass, located in the northern Italian Alps, it is the highest paved mountain pass in the region and the second highest in the Alps. The pass is roughly 47 miles from Bolzano and is situated around 200 miles from the Swiss border. The road is treacherous no matter what way you travel it, and any driver would need to have their wits about them to navigate it. 2. The Halsema Highway The Halsema Highway is located in the Philippines and is an infamously dangerous road, known by many to be one to avoid, if possible. At its highest peak, the road reaches 7,400 feet above sea level and this makes the sheer altitude of the highway a challenge in itself. Also known as the Baguio-Bontoc Road or the Mountain Trail, its worth avoiding this dangerous highway if you can, and seek alternative routes. 3. The Luxor-al-Hurghada Road While all of the dangerous we have come across so far in this gallery are considered dangerous due to road accidents for various reasons, the Luxor-al-Hurghada road is considered treacherous for other reasons. Namely due to road bandits and highway stick-ups which make tourists and locals alike scared to travel on it. Stretching 299 miles of Egyptian desert, you have to be brave to take this road on, no matter how fast you drive. 4. Fairy Meadows, Pakistan The notorious Fairy Meadows Road in Pakistan is another example of a trail you might want to avoid if you visit the country as a tourist. The main danger is that the almost completely gravel road is unmaintained and there are no side rails to stop drivers from literally falling off the edge of the mountain if they misjudge a corner. By far the most dangerous stretch of the road is a 6 mile section which is so uneven that even the world’s best 4×4 would have trouble navigating it. 5. Skippers Canyon Road New Zealand's Skippers Canyon Road, in the south-west of the country, is stunning but extremely dangerous for motorists no matter how skilled they are. The main issue with this 16.5 mile stretch of road is that it is very narrow in parts, so narrow in fact that it's easy to simply fall off the edge if you aren't paying attention. Gravel is also another issue on this road, which was forged into the mountain by gold miners more than 140 years ago. 6. The Guoliang Tunnel Road The Guoliang Tunnel road is one of the largest tunnels in the world, spanning a whopping 1.2 km, it is located in the remote Taihang Mountains of the Henan Province in China. Even skilled local drivers are scared to tackle this tunnel road and many only use it if they absolutely have to. Opened in 1977, the road itself soon became a popular tourist attraction, although these days only the very bravest of tourists even attempt it. 7. The Taroko Gorge Road This treacherous road, located in Taiwan has quite a reputation, and one that is well-earned. The road is a narrow, mountain road which is single lane for the most part. While considered to be amazing engineering-wise, the Taroko Gorge Road is dangerous, and is replete with blind curves and narrow paths connecting various mountains to each other, just about. Not for the faint hearted, if you visit Taiwan you might want to stay away from this one. 8. James Dalton Highway, Alaska You may not have heard of this dangerous road, although if you are from Alaska you may well have. The John Dalton Highway is peppered with potholes and rock storms are commonplace in the winter. 9. The Himalayan Roads You would have to be brave of heart to even attempt to travel on this road. As you can see from the image above, negotiating the sharp narrow turns on the Himalayas is no easy task. It doesn’t matter what you are driving, you’d be mad to travel here. 10. Pasubio, Italy Northern Italy is home to some of the most dangerous roads, and for good reason. The notorious Pasubio road is a hazard to motorists and bikers alike, and many cyclists have fallen from the sheer cliffside on this road. ►SUBSCRIBE ► [MC Gamer] ►Channel: https://goo.gl/h6FNXh Don't forget to click LIKE, SUBSCRIBE and COMMENT Below! ►Donate My Channel With PAYPAL: https://goo.gl/96TtMe Contact ► sxcelik@gmail.com ▼Follow Me On▼ Website ► http://sxmscelik.com/ Facebook ► http://www.facebook.com/sxmscelik Instagram ► https://instagram.com/sxmscelik Twitter ► http://www.twitter.com/sxmscelik Youtube ► http://www.youtube.com/sxmscelik Google+ ► http://plus.google.com/+sxmscelik Pinterest ► http://www.pinterest.com/sxmscelik Music: "Undaunted" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/
