080 Moon Musings - Closeup of Laplace Promontory in the Jura Mountains
Mountain | reviews | videos | photos
Very colorful session. I show you the Jura Mountains and specifically close-ups of the Laplace Promontory. I also show you where Luna 24 landed (the last Soviet lander from 1976) and discuss the water it found on the moon. I finish the session up showing you the Doloris Mountains at the edge of the Montes Apenninus (the Alps)... BTW I misnamed Tycho - which is actually another larger crater called Vallis Snellius. Usually Tycho is the brightest crater we see but tonight it was Vallis Snellius...

There are several Youtube downloaders that do 1080p on download. I use netvideohunter for mac and it works fine... BTW I watch my videos at 1080p all the time with no problem - so it is your internet provider and bandwidth. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching my videos! They do look great at 1080p!

Thanks for sharing Alex! BTW the moon base that was mentioned at the pole of the moon - I have seen the Google maps of that base and it does really look like a deep base exists in one of the poles of the moon! I will check to see where they crashed that rocket and see what I can see. Thanks for sharing Alex!!

lol - I've only just realised that clip goes 'a little alterantive' - oh well... the crash was genuine though - and large scale, woudl be very interesting to see what you could find.

AlexFate101 which rocket are you talking about? I would keenly be interested in that spot for sure! The shadows do yield some interesting shadows when you manually crank up the exposure! Thanks for the comments and thanks so very much for watching!!!

Another stunning vid' Bill - great to see you pulling out the shadows... ;-) btw where did they last crash the rocket into? That might be interesting location to search out... A.

Luisnitro91 I did accept your video response! Right you are - there is a lot of more to the moon that we know - that is precisely why I try to video it as often as I can. Thanks so very much for your comments and thanks for watching!!!
